Rooted in Sustainability, Committed to the Future: DMCI Joins the National Greening Program
D.M. Consunji, Inc. (DMCI) participated in a tree-planting activity under the Department of Environment and Natural Resources' (DENR) National Greening Program, reaffirming its commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable development.
On October 24, 2026, and in partnership with the DENR-NCR La Mesa Nursery Office, 93 DMCI volunteers planted 501 Narra saplings at the La Mesa Watershed, one of Metro Manila’s most important protected areas and a vital source of the region’s water supply.
The activity was especially meaningful as it took place before the suspension of tree-planting activities in the watershed in preparation for the anticipated effects of El Niño, making DMCI one of the last volunteer groups to participate in planting efforts in the area this season.
Beyond planting trees, volunteers also ensured that all planting materials were properly collected and removed from the site, reflecting a shared commitment to environmental responsibility. Throughout the activity, established safety protocols were strictly observed, reinforcing DMCI's culture of safety and care.
With 501 Narra saplings now taking root in the La Mesa Watershed, DMCI further strengthens its own roots in sustainability and reinforces its commitment to future generations. Through initiatives like this, the company continues to support environmental protection, responsible operations, and the shared goal of building a greener and more sustainable tomorrow.
