We are recertified!

This marks the 2nd cycle of our Integrated Management System’s certification to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 Standards for the scope:

“Provision of Engineering & Construction Services, and Equipment Rental Services; Provision of Ready-Mix Concrete.”

This milestone underscores DMCI’s commitment in satisfying and exceeding customer requirements while ensuring that the environment is protected, and a healthy and safe workplace for employees and stakeholders is being provided and maintained during our operational activities.

Certification International Philippines (CIP), represented by Mr. Justo “Jun” Batoon, Jr.  as team lead, Mr. Edgardo Eleria, Mr. Renato David, Mr. Marlon P. Campued, Mr. Edgardo Balangue, Ms. Liza Rosal and Ms. Ofelia Domingo, evaluated the compliance and effectiveness of DMCI’s Integrated Management System (IMS) against specified requirements in the ISO standards.

The onsite assessment commenced on August 1, 2024 and covered twenty-eight (28) audit mandays. The following DMCI sites were audited:

• Building Projects: Empress at Capitol Commons and Pioneer House BGC;
• Energy Projects: NCCC Mall Ma-a and YCO Cloud Campus One;
• Utilities & Plants Projects: 88 MLD LP WRF, 20MLD Tunasan WRF and BNR and CAMANA;
• Infrastructure Project: North South Commuter Railway CP01 Viaduct Works;
• Allied Services Group: Equipment Management Group and Concrete Products Business Unit;
• Main Office: DMCI Top Management, Admin, Business Development, Compliance Obligation, Contracts & Commercial Group, Finance, Human Resource, Information and Communications Technology, Operations / BU, Supply Chain Management, Technical Services Group and Total Quality Management

For the Main Office, a simple program was carried out prior to the start of audit on August 13, 2024 and was hosted by Ms. Louie Gene Ramos from Business Development Group. It was attended by the DMCI Management Team, Auditees and CIP Auditors represented by Mr. Justo “Jun” Batoon Jr. 

Mr. Jowell P. Cabrera, Technical Services Group Head, delivered the Welcome Remarks where he reminisced the first certification audit under CIP on June 29, 2018 and accounted the improvements that were made by the organization thereafter, that were consistently supported by Top Management. 

He congratulated the projects that have already completed their audits and ease the nerves of the remaining Auditees by advising them to keep calm. He concluded by inviting all auditees to continue the exhilarating journey toward excellence, one audit finding at a time.  The audit proper for Main Office followed afterwards.

The audit was completed on August 16, 2024 and during the Closing Meeting, the CIP Auditors discussed the findings and recommended the recertification of DMCI’s IMS.

The Closing Remarks was then delivered by Mr. Joffrey B. Gacula, DMCI’s Managing Director. He acknowledged the findings and suggestions of CIP Auditors and recognized that the recommendations present the company with opportunities to become better as an engineering-based construction company specially as DMCI will be celebrating its 70th year anniversary this year. He then challenged the DMCI team to pursue the changes and improvements in the days to come for the company to evolve as it is the only way to grow and to move forward.

In conclusion, he expressed his gratitude to CIP for continued partnership towards DMCI’s overall improvement, excellence and competitiveness; and by congratulated and thanked the Auditees for their efforts and for representing DMCI in the best possible way during the audit.

On September 12, 2024, the updated Certificates of Registration of DMCI for ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2015 Standards were issued by the Certification International Philippines.
