D.M. Consunji, Inc. (DMCI) joined the launching of Hooked on Books (HOB) Library at the Ricardo P. Cruz Sr. Elementary School in Lower Bicutan Taguig City last October 15, 2023.

The project, spearheaded by Linking Individuals to Nurture Kids' Success (LINKS), a non-profit organization, aims to promote a love for reading and to sustain quality learning among kids and students.

LINKS experience is based on the principle, "it takes a child to unite a village", thus, bringing together academia, government, construction and printing companies, all working together towards the noble mission of enhancing childhood literacy.

The fully air conditioned library designed to inspire children to dream beyond the pages of a book features books of different varieties, walls with colorful and captivating artworks, a treehouse-like bookshelf, and a storytelling area.

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, DMCI, in collaboration with Philippine Constructors Association (PCA), shouldered the cost of library set-up and repairs.

This underscores DMCl's commitment to promote literacy and education within the community.

The launching event was attended by DMCI President and CEO, Mr. Jorge A. Consunji, and PCA President & DMCI Senior Advisor for Business Development, Mr. Ronaldo R. Elepaño, Jr.
