By Christine Ave V. Tragura on August 8, 2026

D.M. Consunji, Inc. (DMCI) proudly celebrated another significant safety milestone as the St. Luke’s Medical Center-Quezon City New Hospital Building Project achieved 3 million safe manhours without a Lost Time Incident (LTI). The milestone was commemorated on July 28, 2026, at the project site along Brgy. Kalusugan, Quezon City.

The achievement reflects the collective commitment, discipline, and vigilance of the project team, workers, subcontractors, and partners in maintaining a safe and healthy workplace. Reaching 3 million safe manhours shows the importance of making safety a shared responsibility at every stage of construction.

The celebration opened with remarks from Lenius M. Pascasio, DMCI Building Business Unit Head and Project Manager, followed by a congratulatory message from Arnold E. Zoleta, DMCI Senior Manager for Occupational Health and Safety (OHS). Charlston Dave R. Trinidad, Construction Project Manager of Design Coordinates, Inc. (DCI), delivered an inspirational message, while Benedict Merwil Cion of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-Quezon City Field Office, the event’s Guest of Honor, shared a message recognizing the importance of maintaining strong occupational safety and health practices on site.

The program also included the awarding of Certificates of Appreciation, recognizing the individuals and teams whose contributions helped make the milestone possible. Mark Y. Talosig, DMCI Project Manager, delivered the closing remarks, strengthening the project team’s commitment to sustaining its safety performance as construction moves forward.

At DMCI, every safety milestone represents more than a number of hours worked: it reflects the everyday choices and collective effort of our people to look after one another. As the project progresses, DMCI remains committed to maintaining a strong culture of safety while delivering quality construction with excellence and responsibility.
